The Retreat and Hood Canal Cabin sit on the same Shorebrook property directly on Hood Canal's North Shore. Together they offer 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, and room for 12 guests. The properties share a private beach and outdoor spaces, with fences and openings between the homes. This is the largest vacation rental setup in the area.

The Retreat

The Retreat is a spacious waterfront home with 3 bedrooms (1 king, 2 twin/king convertible), 2 bathrooms, and 2 pull-out sofas. The ground level has an arcade room with foosball, retro games, and karaoke. The upstairs has the main living area, kitchen (seats 8-10), and a wood-burning fireplace. A projector screen, sound system, and premium Netflix are included. The Retreat welcomes pets.

Hood Canal Cabin is a custom-designed waterfront cabin with 2 bedrooms (1 California king, 1 twin/king convertible), 1 bathroom, and its own hot tub. Large windows frame the water views from the king bed. The compact kitchen has cooking essentials and indoor dining for 4. An outdoor shower, separate entrance, and beachfront deck give cabin guests their own space. No pets at the cabin.

Private beach directly on Hood Canal with seasonal water toys, two kayak, and a paddleboard. Two hot tubs with water views, firepits, three spacious decks with gas grill, outdoor dining, and a grassy lawn for games. The canal offers year-round wildlife viewing including herons, bald eagles, and the occasional orca. In summer the water is typically warm and calm for swimming.

Located on Hood Canal's North Shore, about 90 minutes from Seattle. The area is known for its quiet waterfront communities, and access to Olympic National Forest trails. The town of Belfair (15 minutes) has grocery stores, restaurants, and firewood. The property is in a quiet lake community. Actual address provided upon booking.

Quiet lake community. Quiet hours after 10 PM.
Hot tub, beach, and firepit use prohibited after midnight.
Maximum 12 guests. No extra guests, even for day visits.
Mixed pet policy: The Retreat is pet-friendly; Hood Canal Cabin does not allow pets.
Beaches are private. Walking past the property line on the beach is prohibited.

Good to Know

Home size: 1,730 sq ft.
Two separate properties on the same compound, connected by fenced openings in the yard and beach side.
Main house kitchen and living area are upstairs.
The yard has some steep portions and steps. Supervise children outside.
Wood-burning fireplaces require your own firewood (available in Belfair).
Outdoor cameras at property entry points: driveway and water-facing. No cameras face hot tubs or indoor areas.
Family-friendly amenities: baby gate, children's dinnerware, pack-n-play.

Parking & Access

Parking for up to 5 vehicles onsite.
The area is rural and scenic but dark at night. Arrive before sunset on your first visit.
Larger vehicles may have difficulty on some access roads.

"This place is STUNNING! It's clear they put a lot of love into the design here... I am obsessed with the back cabin which we lovingly referred to as 'the casita' during our stay. The beach view is gorgeous, the kitchen is stunning and the whole place smelled delicious like cedar wood! Having the main house and the little house was so awesome for our larger group. We were able to easily fit everyone into a bed and hang out all together in common spaces. I was also surprised by how well-equipped the kitchens were! The hosts were proactive!
